Gameplay

Kirby's Block Ball is a Breakout-style game in which Kirby bounces around a field littered with blocks and enemies. He can destroy the blocks and enemies by touching them. The object of the game is to keep Kirby in play by bouncing him against four paddles on all four sides of the screen. When all blocks are eliminated, Kirby moves onto the next level. Beating the high score in each level opens up the final level. Enemies destroyed by Kirby are turned into tasty treats, which give the player bonus points if obtained. There are also several power-ups, which aid him in destroying blocks. There are different modes to the game, including boss battles, and bonus games.

Plot

Kirby notices a contest and joins. Apparently, every enemy in the Kirby series up to this point has joined and wants to defeat Kirby. Hearing this, Kirby gets really mad and turns into a ball and starts crushing them all. The adventure begins.
